POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for retail store design and building plans for construction.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

New Store Construction

• Work with our Properties Department in developing sites for our stores and out lots
• Design a set of full construction plans for the new retail store including: site plans, foundation, steel, joist, CMU or precast and all aspects of a complete site
• Work closely with our engineer and outside professionals to ensure plans are complete and ready for city submittals, bids and contracts
• Send plans electronically to contractors, print contracts when bids are awarded
• Prepare plans to be sent and approved by the city or state
• Run bid and contract plans for general contractors and their subcontractors

Remodel store Construction

• Design a set of remodel plans that are easy to follow and help the construction process flow smoothly
• Work with Store Planning to minimize the impact of the remodel on the store and its function
• Work out problem areas in the remodel as they arise communicate with the Project Manager
• Prepare plans to be sent and approved by the city or state
• Run bid and contract plans for general contractors and their subcontractors

Position Requirements:

• An associate’s degree in the architectural, construction or equivalent fields, experience is a plus.
• Experience using AutoCAD, Excel, and Adobe
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work well in Teams as well as independently
• Ability to work under deadlines and multitask
• Ability to work minimum of 45 + hours weekly

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $43,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
