Job description
The mission of the Buyer is to obtain requirements by verifying, preparing, and forwarding purchase orders, verifying receipt of items, and authorizing payments. This role will be located our of our Elemet Manufacturing facility in Aitkin, MN but may help with purchasing of other business units across Elemet Group.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Cut all PO's on time for company support
- Review stock status, open buy and material to determine reorder requirements
- Coordinate and manage all activities during purchasing process and follow through
- Monitor supplier on time delivery
- Assist Operations Manager with other tasks as assigned
- 1-3 years experience in purchasing or related field
- Workplace Skills: Problem solving, teamwork, planning, and organizing
- Purchasing skills: Supply chain, ERP/MRP software, Microsoft office (Excel and Word)
- Understanding of manufacturing process and flow
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Able to implement continuous improvement practices for purchasing and company wide
